Anyone who has visited Morocco knows the national drink there - tasty aromatic peppermint tea. So delicious and refreshing that the only similarity it has with its European tea bag variety is the name. You can now enjoy this original at home. Our nana mint comes from residue controlled plantations in Morocco. They have been carefully hand picked and therefore have a a high content of ethereal oils - crucial for the aroma. This very high quality with its large leaves and stem is ideal for retaining valuable substances.
The use of mint to prepare tea has a long tradition in Arabian countries. The Pharaos already treasured about invigorating, refreshing elixir. Our recipe for original Arabian peppermint tea: brew 2-3 stems of nana mint per cup along with 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, leave for 10 min. - that's it. Of course you can simply pour on hot water. A tip from us: a strong brew of mint tea with a few drops of lemon juice, sugar and ice makes a lovely iced tea.
Whichever type of brew you chose to make, you are also doing something good for your health. It works as a strong bacillicide, strengthens the heart and gall bladder and stimulates the appetite. It is also used for digestive problems or against nausea. |
